Show do Sonic Youth no Brasil pode ser um dos últimos da banda

* Thurston Moore e Kim Gordon, casal ícone da geração ''rock anos 90'' e juntos no Sonic Youth desde 1981, anunciaram o fim do casamento de 27 anos!  Em comunicado, a gravadora Matador Records diz que o futuro da banda ''após novembro'' está incerto. Ou seja, o único lado positivo dessa história é que os shows marcados para a turnê sul-americana continuam valendo.

* O Sonic Youth toca no festival SWU no dia 14 de novembro, ao lado de Faith No More, Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains e Black Rebel Motorcyle Club. O show no Brasil é o último da turnê, que começa por Buenos Aires no dia 5 de novembro. Repetindo: o show do Sonic Youth no SWU é o último da turnê sul-americana e provavelmente o último da banda E-VER.

* A apresentação no Brasil fica ainda mais especial porque ultimamente os integrantes da banda andam se apresentando mais separadamente, com seus projetos solo, que com o SY em si. O último (e 16º!) disco lançado pela banda foi o ''The Eternal'', em 2009 — sem contar a trilha sonora do filme “Simon Werner a Disparu”, de 2010.

* O Brasil, nessa de (quase) sempre receber as bandas em fim de turnê, ainda vai acabar virando o país oficial das grandes despedidas. Em fevereiro deste ano, James Murphy veio a São Paulo com o LCD Soundsystem assim que anunciou o fim de grupo. O show, dentro do festival Popload Gig, foi o último show da banda fora dos EUA.

* Se todos os fãs do Sonic Youth, que foram pegos de surpresa hoje, começarem a se mobilizar para o show de despedida, eu acho que…  Mais alguém reservando hotel em Paulínia?

    Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
