Semana Noel Gallagher – Episódio Final: “A Dance Music em sua forma primitiva” e o início da turnê mundial

Último capítulo da Semana Noel Gallagher, essa que ganhou destaque até no site oficial do ex-líder do Oasis, e que chega numa segunda-feira especial, pós-primeiro show de Noel em fase solo e com seu álbum de estreia alcançando o topo das paradas inglesas com 120 mil cópias vendidas, quase o dobro de Matt Cardle, vencedor do X Factor. O rock vence o pop.

Fora tudo isso, Noel ganhou hoje um prêmio da revista Q como “Ícone do Ano” e já anunciou shows em arenas gigantes para fevereiro, como a O2 Arena em Londres. Noel quer voar alto, mesmo!

Ele começou ontem sua turnê solo em Dublin, no tradicional Olympia Theatre abarrotado. Como era esperado, Noel mesclou praticamente todas as canções de seu álbum solo com alguns clássicos do Oasis, tanto que entrou no palco com a dobradinha “(It’s Good) To Be Free” e “Mucky Fingers”. Sobrou espaço para versões acústicas de “Wonderwall” e “Supersonic”, dois hinos do Oasis. Além destas, Noel tocou também uma canção inédita, chamada “Freaky Teeth”, que pode pintar na trilha de “Skyfall”, próximo filme de James Bond.

A Popload destaca o novo single, “AKA… What A Life!” e a versão intimista para “Supersonic”, mega hit do Oasis, hino da molecada inglesa dos anos 90.

* No último episódio da série exclusiva apresentada pela Popload, Noel fala sobre a época dos shows no Hacienda, clube ícone da cultura pop de Manchester. Para Noel, aquilo sim era dance music, em sua “forma primtiva”.

* Já que a vibe está com a dance music, a música do dia que encerra esta série especial sobre Noel Gallagher na Popload é uma versão remix feita pelo duo bamba Unkle para a b-side “Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me”, mais um desses sons ótimos que o Noel insiste em deixar de fora dos álbuns.

* Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds será lançado no Brasil dia 8 de novembro, via Universal Music.
