O carinha, de visual pós-emo seboso (hehe), é o artífice dessa americanizada ''New Rave Generation'', como foi capa da ''Spin'' recentemente. Na coletiva de anúncio do Lolla BR, o roqueiro-empreendedor Perry Farrell afirmou que o Skrillex faz a ''revolução punk de hoje em dia''. Logo no primeiro episódio da volta do Beavis & Butthead, os moleques viram um vídeo do Skrillex para comentar e o Butthead deu a sentença: ''That's cool''.

O Skrillex representa um pós-dubstep agressivo que tem recebido cada vez mais atenção da cena americana e também na inglesa. O ritmo é este mesmo: parece uma espécie de dubstep de garagem, american way. Tanto que, como você pode ver abaixo, tem até ''artistas de rua'' nos EUA tentando ganhar um troquinho com o dubstep e a onda Skrillex.
