Popload Session apresenta… OGI

* A atração desta semana na Popload Session é o ascendente rapper paulistano OGI, a caminho do rapsterismo, ''novo'' integrante da reluzente cena hip hop paulistana (só tem dez anos de estrada). Outro nome da movimentação que não fala muitas coisas boas de São Paulo, mas também faz questão de não tirar a cidade de seu DNA na linha ''São Paulo I Love You But You Bring Me Down'', o incrível OGI, batizado Rodrigo Hayashi, lançou neste ano seu primeiro disco solo ''Crônicas da Cidade Cinza'', uma homenagem-desabafo, misto de humor e realidade crua, para SP. Ele, antes, era do grupo Contra Fluxo. A capa de ''Crônicas'' (abaixo) é obra ilustrativa exclusiva dos irmãos artistas Osgêmeos, camaradas do rapper. Mas OGI já está pensando no ano que vem.

Filho de pai japonês e mãe pernambucana e morando na periferia da Zona Sul paulistana, OGI aprendeu samba de raiz em casa e rap nas ruas. Foi indicado a ''Melhor Artista de Rap'' no VMB 2010, da MTV. Neste final de semana, participou do festival Batuque, no Sesc Santo André, ao lado de Criolo e da banda Bixiga 70. Antes, gravou esta POPLOAD SESSION.

Os vídeos de OGI para a session deste blog, que contam com a participação da dupla StereoDubs, traz ''Talarico'', faixa do próximo álbum de OGI, que será lançado em março de 2012. Na sequência, o rapper interpreta também com o StereoDubs uma cover do famoso compositor carioca Paulo César Pinheiro, ''Nomes de Favela''.

* A POPLOAD SESSION é um espaço semanal para o desempenho ao vivo de talentos emergentes (não só) de bandas e artistas nacionais (não só). O esquema é sempre uma música própria ''da hora'' e uma cover. Ambos os vídeos produzidos e gravados pelas bandas no ambiente que e da maneira que elas querem. Na rua, em casa, no quintal, na cozinha, no quarto e até mesmo em um estúdio, haha. Já participaram da POPLOAD SESSION as bandas britânicas The Cribs e Teenage Fanclub, além de nomes nacionais como Subburbia, Jair Naves, Bidê ou Balde, Cabana Café, Lucy & The Popsonics, The Normas, Inky, Mavka, Hidrocor, Quarto Negro, Apolônio, Pélico, Faria & Mori, Brollies & Apples, The Vain, Me & The Plant, Banda Cruz, Hidrocor, Glass and Glue, Delta Cockers, entre outros. O ano foi movimentado.
