2012: Howler, de Minneapolis

* Amigo meu escreve dizendo que 2012 vai ser deles, do Howler, banda de moleques de Minneapolis que já apareceu na Popload no começo de novembro na seção ''Música do Ano?'', com a esperta ''I Told You Once''. São da linhagem de bandas de galerinha americana que fazem o indie ficar pop, ou vice-versa, de onde saíram o Grouplove e o Foster the People, duas boas surpresas de 2010/2011.

* O negócio é que o Howler vai mesmo fazer um certo barulho logo de início em 2012, não vai ter jeito. O primeiro disco deles, ''America Give Up'', sai dia 17 de janeiro, via Rough Trade. Neste dia eles iniciam uma série de seis shows diários em Nova York, em seis lugares diferentes, em Manhattan e Brooklyn. Daí somem para a Europa e Japão. Depois voltam para uma turnê americana grande nos EUA, que inclui mais dois shows em Nova York, Coachella etc.

* Não faz muito tempo, lançaram o vídeo de ''Back of Your Neck'', outra música que smells like teen spirit e vai estar no disco de estréia.

* Se não der em nada essa chegada do Howler ao pop, já valeu a pena pelo grupo ter cunhado uma das frases pop mais legais de 2011 de uma linha musical, uma que está em ''I Told You Once''. Assim: ''There’s just a price you have to pay/ Feel like shit tomorrow but i feel fine today''.
