Festival Feliz. Cultura Inglesa divulga Horrors e We Have Band para maio. Falta Falar uma. Fica Frio

Vem aí a 16ª edição do Cultura Inglesa Festival, que promete agitar ainda mais o calendário de shows e eventos bacanas imperdíveis de 2012.

O festival – que entre workshops, exposições e mostra de artes trouxe ao Brasil em 2011 nomes pontuais da história do rock como Glen Matlock (baixista dos Sex Pistols), Alan McGee (descobridor do Oasis) e shows incríveis e gratuitos no Parque da Independência (Gang of Four, Miles Kane e Bloody Red Shoes) – já tem sua edição 2012 toda costurada.

Para o domingo, 27 de maio, já está confirmado que São Paulo vai receber shows de The Horrors e We Have Band, de graça, provavelmente no Parque da Independência. A Banda Uó e o Garotas Suecas também estão no line-up. We Have Band e Banda Uó se apresentam juntas dia 02/06 em Campinas e 03/06 em Santos. Já a dobradinha The Horrors e Garotas Suecas acontecerá dia 02/06 em São José dos Campos e, no dia seguinte, em Sorocaba.

O The Horrors, outrora combo de moleques zoeiras de nomes bizarros e que até pouco tempo fazia shows punks toscos com “temática” de filme de terror, chega ao Brasil com o status de “banda madura”, uma das mais requisitadas para shows nos festivais mundo afora e com o suporte de “Skying”, um dos melhores álbuns de 2011. O show, quando eles querem, é incrível.

Já o trio londrino We Have Band chega com concerto baseado em “Ternion”, ótimo segundo álbum do grupo, lançado no início deste ano.

O festival tem a curadoria da Popload e do Trabalho Sujo, nas pessoas deste que vos escreve e do ''fera'' Alexandre Matias.

A programação completa do 16º Cultura Inglesa Festival deverá ser divulgada nas próximas semanas. Além dos shows, estão programadas outras movimentações voltadas para a cultura pop em clubinhos, salas de cinema, teatro etc.

Falta Falar, inclusive, a atração principal que ainda não posso anunciar, mas isso deve ser feito até o final do mês. Desde já garanto que não se trata do Foo Fighters nem do Foster the Feople.
