Essa é boa. Em maio a banda interplanetária Man or Astro-Man?, combo de malucos que tocam surf punk em alta velocidade vestidos em roupas de filme de ficção científica dos anos 40, chega a este planeta, mais especificamente o Brasil, para pelo menos dois shows no país: Goiânia, dia 9, no Bolshoi Pub, e São Paulo, dia 10, no Cine Joia. Outros shows, outros lugares devem ser confirmados.

É a terceira aparição do Man or Astro-Man?, do Alabama, em terras brasileiras. Banda de muitos álbuns e muitos singles, heróis da música independente dos anos 90, a última vez que eu soube do Man or Astro-Man? foi em 2010, acho, em uma reportagem da revista ''Wired''. Nada mais apropriado. Naquele ano, tocaram no South by Southwest e fizeram uma minitour americana, com uma mulher na banda, uma Astro-Woman. Geek rock antes dos geeks, o MoAM? é liderado ainda pelo baixista e articulador de outros ''barulhos científicos'' Coco the Electronic Monkey Wizard.

Qual a importância do Man or Astro-Man? na música, hoje? Nenhuma. Mas quem se importa?
Gênios. Não perca.
