Uma das boas revelações recentes da música, o cantor americano Perfume Genius – nome de guerra de Mike Hadreas – lançou o álbum “Put Your Back N 2 It” no início do ano e desponta como forte candidato às listas de melhores de 2012. Com roupagem toda “delicada”, o menino de Seattle faz um som aprimorado, refinado, tudo baseado em piano combinando com sua voz sofrida.

Em suas canções – e também nas entrevistas – o Perfume Genius costuma falar que tem problemas com sua mãe.

Agora ele lança o vídeo de “Dark Parts”. E quem estrela o vídeo é Carmen Hadreas-Boggs, SUA MÃE! Haha. A direção é de Winston Case, que coordena o canal de TV do site Pitchfork e responsável por outro vídeo do Perfume Genius, “Hood”.
