Boom!! Cantor da banda punk Against Me! anuncia que vai virar uma mulher

* A nova edição da revista ''Rolling Stone'' americana que vai chegar às bancas traz a revelação de que Tom Gabel, cantor, guitarrista e fundador da conhecida banda punk americana Against Me!, da Florida, vai virar uma mulher.

A história é… punk. Gabel há anos sofre de uma ''doença psicológica'' chamada Disforia de Gênero, um transtorno de identidade que no caso dele é a não-aceitação do gênero sexual com o qual nasceu. Isso esteve presente em algumas letras de música do Against Me! e da carreira solo de Gabel.

Tom Gabel, que é casado (com uma mulher) e tem uma filha de 3 anos, decidiu que em breve vai começar um processo real de mudança de sexo, tomando hormônios e fazendo um tratamento com eletrólises, que no fim vai culminar em uma cirurgia de troca de sexo.

A questão de Gabel, veja bem, não é a de se maquiar e se vestir como uma mulher, como chocou o Brasil recentemente o cartunista Laerte. O cantor do Against Me! vai virar uma real, vai mudar os documentos e vai passar a se chamar Laura Jane Gabel.

Tom Gabel disse à revista que sua mulher o apoia. Abaixo, a foto que ilustra o texto-bomba da ''Rolling Stone''.
