O Blur está de volta, pela enésima vez. Mas a banda de Damon Albarn deve fazer um retorno breve. Escalado para fazer um show no Hyde Park dia 12 de agosto, em evento que coincide com a cerimônia de encerramento dos Jogos Olímpicos, a banda deve lançar apenas duas novas músicas.
“Under the Westway” e “The Puritan” serão tocadas no show. Mas, antes, serão lançadas no TWITTER. Quem revelou foi o baixista Alex James, em vídeo publicado pela própria banda.
De acordo com Alex, os dois sons novos serão postados no microblog no dia 2 de julho, segunda que vem. Primeiro, “Under the Westway” vai ao ar por volta de 14h15. Uma hora depois entra “The Puritan”. Esses horários são de Brasília.
As duas canções já foram tocadas em apresentações “solo” neste ano. Então dá para ter mais ou menos uma noção do que vem por aí.
Antes do show no Hyde Park, o Blur fará outros seis shows em cidades do Reino Unido, Dinamarca e Suécia.
