Twin Shadow toca uma das “músicas do ano” em uma mansão indie

George Lewis Jr. vai fechar 2012 como um dos principais nomes do indie. Para quem não está ligando o nome ao artista, o indie dominicano radicado americano também atende pela alcunha de Twin Shadow, um certo herói do indie-USA nascido na República Dominicana, absorvido pela “onda do Brooklyn”, também “acusado” de ressuscitar a new wave com umas letras emocionais e brutais.

Com seu “Confess”, segundo disco de carreira lançado em junho passado, Twin Shadow tem viajado o mundo em turnê que só será finalizada mês que vem, na Dinamarca.

Ele gravou uma session que estreou hoje na bíblia indie Pitchfork. “Mansion Sessions” consiste numa série de apresentações e entrevistas com artistas feitas em uma mansão (!) localizada em Bushwick, região do Brooklyn. Quase uma Popload Session, diz que não?

O Twin Shadow mandou a ótima “Five Seconds”, uma das melhores músicas (e vídeos) do ano. O som bombou desde rádios cool como a SiriusXM U às estações pequenas. O vídeo mostra George e um amigo, ases da motocicleta, metidos numa porradaria desenfreada com uma gangue de mascarados com tacos de beisebol na mão.
