Brandon Flowers perde a voz e “mata” shows do Killers em Manchester

Na estrada para bombar o lançamento recente de seu disco “Battle Born”, o The Killers tem lotado shows no Reino Unido. Só que, ontem, a banda foi do céu ao inferno em poucas horas.

Após anunciar seu maior show da carreira para o ano que vem no estádio de Wembley, quando o grupo de Las Vegas deverá se apresentar para 80 mil pessoas em junho, Brandon Flowers deu um susto em seus fãs na cidade de Manchester. Depois de tocarem apenas quatro músicas, Brandon pediu para a banda interromper a apresentação, foi ao microfone e disse que simplesmente não conseguia cantar. Se desculpou e saiu. O show, acompanhado por 20 mil pessoas, acabou logo ali. A alegação é que Brandon está com uma forte infecção na garganta.

O grupo tinha outro show agendado para Manchester hoje, mas também foi cancelado. Sexta e sábado, a agenda da banda indica shows na gigante O2 Arena de Londres, que por enquanto estão de pé. Todos os ingressos estão esgotados.

Em meio à “desgraça” do fato, curti a manchete do jornal Independent na manhã de hoje: “The Killers kill UK gig after four songs as Brandon Flowers loses voice”. Vale lembrar que o Killers é um dos headliners do Lollapalooza Brasil ano que vem.
