Em disco novo, Example pede desculpas por ser um “dick”. E conta que é doente

* Sinto uma certa comoção vindo da Inglaterra por estes dias, na recepção do mais novo álbum do figura Elliott Gleave. Ou E.G. Ou, como ele é mais conhecido, Example. O cara é a costura certa entre o hip hop branco inglês, o indie, a dance music afetada pelo dubstep (o inglês, veja bem) e o pop das paradas de sucesso locais. Essa mistura tem pinta de nunca ser perfeita, mas com o Example ela se torna incrivelmente possível para se gostar.

''The Evolution of Man'' é o quarto álbum do Example e oficialmente é lançado nesta segunda-feira. Está faz umas duas semanas inteiro vazado na internet. E confesso que gostei dessa farofinha que é o single novo, ''Say Nothing'', uma dessas músicas que bombam em qualquer loja jovem que você entra em Londres, tipo a da Adidas, da Nike, a Topshop…

O Example está bem na fita. O Calvin Harris adora o cara, os caras do Kasabian também, o Zane Lowe (DJ da Radio One) também, o Mike Skinner (The Streets) o ama, o Grahan Coxon, do Blur, botou encheu o disco do Example de guitarras. Outra turma boa também ''fechou'' com o Example, recentemente.

O cara está virando cool bem quando faz um disco-confessionário dizendo praticamente que ele foi um, desculpe-me, cuzão por muito tempo. Suas ex-namoradas que o digam, está nas letras. Muitas drogas, muita infidelidade, muitas vezes tratando amigos e garotas de um modo nada legal, dias e dias de depressão, Example expurga seus pecados no disco novo, como dá para ver em letras como ''All My Lows'' e ''Crying Out for Help''.

Curti a música que vai ser o próximo single do novo álbum, essa ''The Queen of Your Dreams'', sobre outra garota com que ele pisou na bola. Curti nesse modo que você consegue curtir o Example. Na linha: essa música tem tudo o que eu não gosto numa música. Mas ainda assim você gosta de ouvi-la quando está tocando.

Uma outra música do disco novo, um rap-metal (!!), a faixa ''Come Taste the Rainbow'', é marcante. Nela, Example conta que tem a Síndrome de Asperger, uma espécie de autismo ''leve'' e que faz a pessoa não ser muito sociável ou ter dificuldades em expressar emoções. Barra.

    Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
