A nova música do… Fleetwood Mac!

Não sei se é coisa da minha cabeça, mas tenho reparado que existe uma vibe nostálgica na música nos dias de hoje. Muita gente da velha guarda tem mostrado serviço. Veja bem o The Cure com seu show de 40 músicas, ou o mito Leonard Cohen, beirando os 80, fazendo show de 3 horas, isso depois de ter lançado disco de inéditas ano passado. Ou até mesmo os veteranos sessentões Rolling Stones e Paul McCartney anunciando pouco a pouco suas turnês mundiais.

Outro gigante da velha guarda também está com o gás em dia. O Fleetwood Mac recém iniciou uma turnê extensa pelos Estados Unidos, que vai passar também pela Europa no meio do ano. A Stevie Nicks, antes disso, esteve envolvida no projeto Sound City e dividiu o palco com o Dave Grohl em algumas cidades. Mas o Fleetwood Mac, que ano passado ganhou uma bela homenagem de bandas novas tocando faixas clássicas de seu repertório, deve lançar “em poucos dias” um novo EP, o primeiro em 10 anos. Pelo menos foi essa a dica dada pelo grande Lindsey Buckingham durante um show na Filadélfia sábado passado.

Buckingham, pelo jeito, não estava zoando. Tanto que logo após dar a notícia, a banda emendou uma canção inédita. “Sad Angel” traz um pouco do Fleetwood Mac clássico, com Lindsey e Nicks dividindo os vocais, é cheia de riffs e bateria acelerada. Classy!

* Na noite de ontem, o famoso grupo tocou no Madison Square Garden, em Nova York. ''Sad Angel'', a nova, estava no setlist outra vez. Aliás, o Fleetwood Mac tem tocado as seguintes canções…
