* A banda indie americana Chairlift, uma das milhares que habitam o Brooklyn (NYC), prepara vôos mais altos com o lançamento do simpático ''Something'', novo disco do trio que agora é uma dupla. E, pelo menos, quem saiu não foi a boneca Caroline Polachek, que toca a banda com o Patrick Wimberly. Para resumir rapidinho o álbum, ''Something'' é futurista totalmente chafurdado nos anos 80. Sabe como? Produzido pelo ''midas'' inglês Alan Moulder (de Jesus & Mary Chain a Yeah Yeah Yeahs), o CD saiu na semana passada, foi vazado faz tempo e deve tirar a incômoda fama do Chairlift de ser a ''banda do iPod'', quando em 2008 ganhou fama absurda momentânea por ter uma música de trilha do comercial do Nano.
Algumas músicas têm um ''q'' de David Lynch, você vai reparar se ouvir. Falta só um anãozinho e umas cortinas vermelhas. Talvez seja porque o Chairlift foi a primeira banda a tocar no Silencio, o clube que o doido do Lynch abriu em Paris.
