Muse inicia turnê mundial e mostra sua pirâmide megalomaníaca

Sempre forte candidato ao cargo de “sucessor do U2”, o Muse começou ontem sua turnê mundial que deve percorrer o mundo todo durante este final de ano e 2013. América do Sul incluída, ao que tudo indica. A banda inglesa, que estava fazendo aparições promocionais em shows menores e programas de TV no último mês para divulgar o lançamento do disco “The 2nd Law”, deu o pontapé inicial para valer em sua excursão pela Europa. O show, cercado de expectativas, aconteceu na cidade de Montpellier, na França.

A grande curiosidade dos fãs era saber o que o Muse iria armar desta vez em termos de “palco”. Eles, que sempre mostram sua megalomania através de cenários com diversos telões e luzes, apresentaram sua nova pirâmide de fazer inveja ao palco principal do Glastonbury.

Ponto principal do cenário, a pirâmide invertida do Muse é toda composta por telas em LED, o que significa dizer que tem imagens sendo projetadas nela a todo momento. Além disso, essas telas são movidas por controle remoto e podem simular outros desenhos, como um navio. Mas no fundo parece mesmo uma nave espacial.

O novo Muse, menos sisudo e viajado do que nos últimos álbuns, mostra em “The 2nd Law” uma variedade sonora mais ampla. Tem funkzinho 70’s esperto, tem dubstep, tem música pop e tem as viagens um pouco xaropes também.

No show de ontem, o setlist foi baseado em boa parte do álbum. Mas também houve espaço para raridades. Pela primeira vez em mais de dez anos, a banda tocou a música “Falling Down”, faixa do disco de estreia da banda, “Showbiz”. O Muse começa a turnê pela Europa, se apresenta no Japão em janeiro e depois segue para a América do Norte, onde realiza turnê até o final de abril. Aí…
