Anos 80 e divertido: começam a sair as primeiras impressões sobre o disco novo dos Strokes

Agora que todos estamos recuperando os sentidos depois de termos sido atropelados pelo axé novo dos Strokes, começa a expectativa pelo resto das músicas novas do próximo álbum deles, “Comedown Machine”, que sai dia 25 de março e, ao que parece, deve vazar a qualquer momento.

Especialmente porque já estão rolando em algumas redações as famosas cópias promocionais do disco, cheias de proteções contra pirataria, mas que no final das contas sempre são burladas por um ou outro “espertinho”, digamos.

Depois da avalanche (tropical) de opiniões que vão do “horrível” ao “genial” para a tecnobrega “One Way Trigger”, o status atual se resume à espera pelo lançamento do primeiro single de verdade do disco. “All The Time” deve pintar nas rádios nesta ou no mais tardar na próxima semana. Dizem que esta será a canção que vai pautar a linha sonora do álbum, mas também não disseram se ela é muito diferente de “One Way Trigger”.

Algumas publicações e alguns jornalistas têm se manifestado a partir das tais cópias promo, antes mesmo de divulgarem suas reviews finais. A revista inglesa Fly postou em seu twitter na manhã de hoje que nem bem haviam terminado de ouvir o disco e já queriam ouvir de novo. Niall Doherty, editor de reviews da gigante Q Magazine, disse que o novo álbum é muito bom, “muito anos 80”, e que a vibe indica que a banda “está se divertindo”.

Já Jimi Famurewa, ex-Guardian e atualmente na Shortlist Magazine, talvez tenha dado a versão mais excêntrica sobre “Comedown Machine” até agora. “Not saying this new Strokes album sounds a bit 80s but a beach volleyball montage just broke out in the office”, tuitou ele. Haha.

    I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

    The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
