* O guitarrista inglês Johnny Marr, eleito um dos maiores da história e que um dia fez acordes para Morrissey cantar por cima, liberou, via ''Rolling Stone'' americana, a audição em streaming de seu disco solo, que sai daqui uma semana. ''The Messenger'', 12 faixas impregnadas de pós-punk anos 80 com um vocal seu inédito que não decepciona, é o primeiro disco solo com sua assinatura, ainda que desde o fim dos Smiths Marr sempre se mostrou atuante no pop. O guitarrista colaborou ou até fez parte como integrante oficial de bandas como Pretenders, The The, Modest Mouse e Cribs.

Na semana passada, Marr foi declarado ''Gênio'' em conhecido título conferido anualmente pelo semanário inglês ''New Musical Express'', com a premiação chamada ''Godlike Genius'', que rendeu ainda a capa da revista ao ex-companheiro de Moz e hoje inimigos mortais.
Ainda como parte da elevação à categoria de ''Deus da música'' da ''NME'', o guitarrista participou da série ''Song Stories'' da publicação e contou a história do hino ''Heaven Know I'm Miserable Now'', uma das primeiras e mais marcantes canções dos Smiths. No vídeo, Marr está tocando os inesquecíveis acordes da música pela primeira vez em 25 anos.

Johnny Marr é uma das atrações do Coachella Festival, em abril, na Califórnia. Vai ainda excursionar pela América com o New Order e solo. Ouça abaixo ''The Messenger'', single que dá nome ao disco solo do histórico Johnny Marr.

    Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
