Notícia quente e triste nos bastidores do mercado de shows deste país. O incrível Sónar SP, festival brasileiro ligado ao evento major de vanguarda musical criado em Barcelona, não vai mais acontecer.
O evento, que estava marcado para rolar no Anhembi dias 24 e 25 de maio, com presenças confirmadas de The Roots, Pet Shop Boys, Explosions in the Sky, Nicolas Jaar, Matmos, entre outros, foi cancelado devido “às dificuldades e à instabilidade no mercado de entretenimento no Brasil”, diz o comunicado oficial. Os ingressos ainda não haviam sido colocados à venda.
* Update, 18h50: A Popload apurou que foram feitas várias tentativas para deixar o festival ''de pé''. Mas motivos que vão desde a fraca venda de ingressos ao insucesso nas negociações com o Anhembi fizeram a organização do Sónar pensar em uma saída alternativa, a de tentar ''pulverizar'' o Sónar SP pela cidade, com shows no MIS durante o dia e em outras casas como o Cine Joia, Tomie Otahke e Espaço das Américas para os artistas maiores.
Pena, não deu. E o Brasil sofre baixa com um dos eventos que está entre os mais respeitáveis no mundo.
