Popload Session apresenta… BANDA CRUZ

* Você sabe bem, a Popload Session é um espaço semanal para as bandas indies nacionais (não só, não é Teenage Fanclub e The Cribs?) se apresentarem em duas performances gravadas e produzidas pelas próprias, onde elas quiserem: com uma música própria e com cover de um nome para elas representativa.

A session desta semana está nas mãos da Banda Cruz, formada por brasileiros, mas que reside fora do país, em Los Angeles. Neste episódio, a Banda Cruz toca sua “It’s Over” e faz uma versão bem rock para “I Shot The Sheriff”, de Bob Marley.

A Banda Cruz é formada por cinco paulistanos: Enrico Minelli (vocal), José Orlando (baixo), Daniel Pampuri (bateria), Filipe Pampuri e Rafael Kumelys (guitarras).

O grupo foi descoberto pelo produtor Jay Baumgardner (Evanscence, Linkin Park, No Doubt), que ouviu um CD demo do grupo em 2008, gravado no seu NRG Recording Studios. Na época, a Banda Cruz viajou para os EUA com dinheiro emprestado pelos familiares.

As influências do grupo vão de Beatles a Led Zeppelin, passando por Nirvana e Pearl Jam. A Cruz venceu o concurso Update or Die e terá as honras de abrir oficialmente o SWU, neste sábado, em Paulínia.
