* Talvez a trilha sonora acidental do South by Southwest deste ano foi a música ''Friends of Friends'', da banda fofa nova-iorquina Hospitality. ''Friends of Friends'' é uma das mais deliciosas canções independentes deste ano. Eu já tinha ouvido, mas nunca tinha dado o devido valor. Até que, no Texas, ouvi na rádio do carro, no saguão do hotel, nos corredores do Centro de Convenções, em intervalo de shows nos clubes, sei lá onde. E daí a música ''entrou'', ''bateu''.
* Sim, o Hospitality é do Brooklyn, hahaha. Trio esperto com tudo marcante e no lugar. E a guitarrista, Amber Papini, ainda tem uma das vozes mais gostosas do indie atual. Tipo banda de vocal feminino dos anos 90, linha Breeders, Throwing Muses.
* ''Friends of Friends'' é uma belezura indie sensível. A letra fala aparentemente de namorados que não são mais namorados, tentaram virar amigos, mas a coisa não está rolando. Nova York está incrivelmente descrita. Já o vídeo, lançado no começo do ano, bota Los Angeles e a Califórnia para separar os namorados amigos ainda mais.
* O Hospitality tocou em vários lugares no Sxsw. Tem um vídeo deles aí abaixo mostrando ''Friends of Friends'' no festival. Mas como um quarteto (uma outra guitarra encorpando o som da banda) e, acho, um novo baterista. Mas Papini está lá. Antes, veja o vídeo oficial da música, com figurinhas indie carimbadas, até.
