Metido em mil projetos nos últimos anos, Diplo se expressa em causa própria

Um dos DJ’s e produtores mais onipresentes do hip hop e electro-indie, o americano Diplo prepara o lançamento de “Express Yourself”, seu primeiro projeto solo desde “Florida”, lançado em 2004 (!!!).

Nome constante em todo tipo de álbuns, músicas, remixes e mixtapes lançadas nos últimos anos, Diplo ficou conhecido por ser uma das metades do ótimo Major Lazer, por ser um dos caras que reverbera ritmos esquisitos fora do eixo EUA-Inglaterra (funk carioca incluído), e por botar a mão em canções e álbuns de gente variada desde o pop Chris Brown às inrotuláveis Santigold e Azealia Banks.

Bem ligado à cena brasileira, fã de Caetano Veloso, Diplo recentemente fez uma ponta no vídeo de “Kilo”, do Bonde do Rolê, vestido de cowboy.

“Express Yourself” deve seguir a linha dancehall jamaicano baticum, tem seis canções e será lançado no próximo dia 12 de junho, via Mad Decent, selo próprio do Diplo. Ouça “Set It Off”, com participação do duo Lazerdisk Party Sex.
