Lollapalooza, a matriz, promove um Black Sabbath vs. Black Keys. Festival começa amanhã

Um dos festivais mais tradicionais e incríveis do mundo, o Lollapalooza “matriz” começa a acontecer amanhã e vai até domingo no Grant Park, em Chicago, o ''parque do discurso da vitória do Obama''. Durante três dias, estão programados cerca de 130 shows, que vão desde Frank Ocean a Black Sabbath, passando por Tame Impala, Jack White, Black Keys, Alabama Shakes e… veja bem… a culpa não é nossa… tem a ver com aquele ''intercâmbio''… O Rappa.

Você começa a medir o tamanho de um festival quando olha os horários conflitantes de shows considerados assistíveis, uns mais que os outros. No Lolla, por exemplo, algumas coincidências de horários chamam a atenção.

Na tarde de sexta, por exemplo, Metric e o Afghan Whigs tocam no mesmo horário. Também na sexta, mas durante a noite, o conflito mais irritante: o gigante do metal Black Sabbath e o novo gigante do indie, Black Keys, tocam praticamente “juntos”. No sábado, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Santigold e Frank Ocean vão se estapear na faixa das 20h às 22h. No domingo, Jack White x Justice x Kaskade; At the Drive In x Florence; The Walkmen x Dum Dum Girls x Gary Clark Jr. x Sigur Rós. Beleza?
Festival enorme é assim. Faz parte. Num desses Lollapalooza recentes, acho que o último a que eu fui, teve no mesmo horário a volta dos Strokes x a ascensão da Lady Gaga. Adivinha qual eu fui ver?

Boa parte destes shows deste Lollapalooza 2012 será transmitida ao vivo, pelo canal do Lollapalooza no YouTube, onde se pode conferir os horários. A Popload fará sua cobertura especial, claro.
