* Uma das figuras mais polêmicas do rock, o lendário Peter Hook, fundador de Joy Division e New Order, baixista e briguento, vem ao Brasil em outubro em sua versão DJ farofa. Hook, que voltou a ser assunto ultimamente pelas brigas com o atual New Order e pelas declarações recentes sobre Ian Curtis, o mártir do Joy Division, comanda seu DJ set, hã, festeiro no dia 26/10 no NA MATA CAFÉ de Belo Horizonte (novo) e, no dia seguinte, na matriz paulistana.

* Peter Hook foi o centro de uma capa recente do semanário inglês ''New Musical Express'', 60 anos, cuja capa era o Joy Division. Em entrevista exclusiva à revista, por conta do lançamento da biografia ''Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division'' Hook descontroi o mito de Ian Curtis, cantor sorumbático e depressivo que acabou optando por suicídio muito jovem, com a banda tendo lançado apenas um disco e na véspera de sua primeira turnê pelos EUA:
''O que nunca foi divulgado é o Ian que nós víamos na banda, diferente desse cara tristonho e pra baixo que a história conta. Ele não se encaixa nem de longe no mito que privilegia a idéia de que Ian existia em outro planeta que não era o nosso. Mas não é verdade. Ele adorava esse estilo de vida e teria curtido bem mais se não fosse pela epilepsia. Ele adorava música e adorava o grupo. Ele era um brother nosso”.

    I have seen lots of useful points on your site about personal computers. However, I've the impression that lap tops are still not nearly powerful adequately to be a good choice if you normally do projects that require lots of power, for example video croping and editing. But for world wide web surfing, microsoft word processing, and a lot other popular computer functions they are fine, provided you never mind small screen size. Appreciate sharing your notions.
