Juntando tudo, daria para fazer um Coachella semanal aqui em São Paulo. Galera não sabe A TRETA que é trazer banda para o Brasil. Do momento que se manda o primeiro email para começar uma negociação até a hora em que a banda sobe no avião para ir embora. Mas normal, acostumei, estamos nessa mesmo.
Ontem, em meio ao show da Feist, exatamente ''Popload Gig no Cine Joia'', fui parado por uma menina muito empolgada pedindo para trazer o Father John Misty. Muito.
''Traz ele de algum jeito. Traz solo. Nem precisa trazer com banda. Ele com violão. Mas traz'', repetindo o texto durante uns cinco minutos. Foi o pedido mais enfático que eu recebi nas últimas semanas.

Adoro Father John Misty. Pensei que eu era o único. E essa intimada no Joia me fez ir ver o que o músico americano anda fazendo por estes dias.

Father John Misty é a persona assumida por J. Tillman para dar uma mudada na carreira. Era o plano A que virou plano B e agora virou plano AAA. Tillman é ex-baterista da banda indie Fleet Foxes e foi músico de apoio de alguns artistas e tal. Largou tudo, fez a barba, cortou o cabelo, pegou a guitarra, assumiu os microfones. Transformou-se numa espécie de Dave Grohl indie-indie-indie. E fez um dos cinco melhores discos deste ano, ''Fear Fun'', lançado em abril/maio.

Misty pode ser resumido assim: letras profundas de rasgar coração, sonzinho indie-rock-folk básico porém classe demais, dancinha style ao vivo.

Nessa verificada de a quantas anda o Father John Misty, vi que o cara está confirmadaço no próximo Coachella Festival, na Califórnia. Que ele tocou ontem na meca indie Music Hall of Williamsburg, no Brooklyn, NYC. Que HOJE faz show no Bowery Ballroom, em Manhattan, outro templo indie. Para ontem e para hoje, ingressos esgotadaços há tempos. Por conta disso, já tem show marcado em lugar maior de Nova York em janeiro, no Webster Hall, aumentando a responsa dele. Esse show de janeiro faz parte de uma outra e desta vez grande turnê americana (Canadá incluído) que ainda está por ser divulgada. Essa de agora dia 3 de novembro em Salt Lake City e ainda tem uns sete shows.

Da movimentação atual ilustrada de Father John Misty tirei o seguinte. Uma foto de instagram do show de ontem no Brooklyn, NYC; (2) o vídeo da maravilhosa ''Nancy From Now On'', ao vivo no festival Austin City Limits semana passada, no Texas; e (3), mais distante no tempo, uma apresentação dele em maio na TV, no programa do David Letterman, em que executa outra incrível, ''Only Son of the Ladiesman''.

Alguém traz o Father John Misty para o Brasil, please. Alô, Popload Gig!!
