Um dos convidados de luxo do Dinosaur Jr. no último final de semana, quando a seminal banda americana fez show histórico no Terminal 5 de Nova York, o bamba Johnny Marr segue aguçando a curiosidade de muita gente em torno de seu primeiro disco solo, “The Messenger”, que será lançado dia 26 de fevereiro. A obra foi produzida pelo virtuoso guitarrista ex-Smiths em parceria com Frank Arkwright, que também já se envolveu em trabalhos daquela banda de Manchester.

Depois de divulgar o primeiro single que leva o mesmo nome do álbum, Marr soltou mais uma amostra de seu álbum debut. “The Right Thing Right” traz um clima bem U2-bom no som do guitarrista. Engraçado em tempos como hoje a música ter ficado ''presa'' em uma conta de Soundcloud disponível só para os Estados Unidos. Demorou quase três dias para liberar geral.

Semana passada, Marr participou do programa de Dermot O’Leary na rádio BBC 2 e mandou uma versão bacanuda de “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want”, clássica dos Smiths. Marr CANTANDO Smiths!
