The Cure no Brasil: apenas dois shows. Um em São Paulo e o outro… em São Paulo?

* Sábado agora ou no máximo segunda-feira (por causa do feriado paulistano) serão anunciadas, FINALMENTE, as DUAS DATAS que cabem ao Brasil na turnê que a histórica banda inglesa The Cure fará em abril/maio na América do Sul, a Popload apurou.

O rearranjo de datas dos últimos dias e a entrada de vários outros países que a priori não receberiam a trupe de símbolo gótico de som alegre Robert Smith fizeram a parte brasileira na história cair de 4 ou 5 concertos para esses dois. Ainda não é claro (para a Popload, diga-se), se serão um show em SP e outro no Rio (mais provável) ou mesmo duas apresentações na capital paulista. Vamos acompanhar.

Chile, Peru, Colômbia e Argentina estão na parada. Paraguai pode aparecer na lista de países visitados pelo Cure. Culpe os peruanos, haha.

Os anúncios dos shows já trazem junto a vendagem de ingressos, que já deviam estar sendo comercializadas. A primeira ideia dos promotores da tour do ''Cure in South America'' era divulgar shows e info de tickets no final de dezembro ainda. Em São Paulo, Jockey Club, Anhembi e Memorial da América Latina são os favoritos para sediar o loooooongo concerto do Cure. Ou os concertos.

A primeira das vezes que o Cure veio ao Brasil foi em 1987, meio que no auge de sua fama. Na época, eles fizeram OITO shows no país, gastando duas longas semanas rodando o país. Foi o início de uma bombada turnê mundial na época e eles fizeram, na América do Sul, duas apresentações em Buenos Aires e, aí, duas em Porto Alegre, uma em Belo Horizonte, duas no Rio e três em São Paulo (veja ingresso abaixo).

De um dos concertos do Rio, no Maracanãzinho, a gente resgata um vídeo INCRÍVEL de 45 minutos de Robert Smith em ação. É de uma transmissão de TV, datada de 27 de março de 1987. Da Rede Manchete, haha. Está bem editadinho, para a época. Dá para ver um pouco a cara de espantado de Robert Smith com a recepção brasileira na ocasião, fato que ele sempre lembrava em entrevista. Aliás, o vídeo da Manchete mostra Smith respondendo perguntas em uma entrevista coletiva no Rio. O show começa com o hit ''In Between Days'', Maracanãzinho quase caindo, depois entra em clima dark. E só melhora. Principalmente como ''retrato de uma era''. Veja.
