* Começou ontem em Nova York o festival de música nova CMJ, evento na linha do South by Southwest (Austin, Texas), que bota para circular em em 99 bares de Manhattan e Brooklyn mais de 1000 artistas durante cinco dias. A maratona musical do CMJ (College Music Journal), que também é uma revista e tem junto um festival de cinema, já teve bandas iniciantes como U2, White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Nirvana e REM, para citar algumas que depois deram ''mais ou menos'' certo.

Hoje, a banda paulistana Holger toca numa ''noite brasileira'' no Dominion, junto com Loop B e Beatriz Azevedo. O CSS também se apresenta no festival, mas no sábado, na noite de encerramento.

O Studio Eleven, blog e rádio espertos de Franca, interior de São Paulo, está em Nova York para acompanhar o CMJ 2011. A cobertura do festival, através do Mark, será diária.

Um dos destaques da noite inicial do CMJ, pelo Studio Eleven e por alguns blogs americanos que eu pude ver, foi a ''emerging'' banda inglesa Tall Ships, que participou recentemente da Popload Gig, abrindo para o Metronomy.

    I know. The only idea that I have come up with is to get a pair of flat white thigh high boots and see if you can get them professionally died to match the costume. The glossy ones will not work. They have to be a flat white if you are going to be able to do it.
