“Seven Nation Army”, agora em versão novo-new-soul.

Ninguém deixa a música em paz!
Agora é a vez de um ex-''X-Factor'', programa que é tipo um ''American Idol'', que por sua vez é tipo um programa de calouro do Raul Gil versão ''chique'' e milionária. Ao contrário dos ex-BBBs, um ex-''X-Factor'' ou um ex-''American Idol'' pode fechar megacontratos, ganhar um Grammy, um Oscar e ter muito mais que 15min de fama. Susan Boyle (que veio de um programa semelhante) e Jennifer Hudson estão aí, esfregando na cara da sociedade. =)

Pois um ex-participante do programa chacoalhou o mundo indie (ok, foi só uma marolinha) ao revelar, na semana passada, que seu single de estreia seria uma cover da música do White Stripes. MAIS UMA? Além de começar a carreira fora do programa fazendo uma versão cover, por que ele foi escolher justamente essa?

Marcus Collins, que ficou em segundo lugar na competição, é um ex-cabeleileiro de Liverpool e tem 23 anos. Fã de Stevie Wonder, foi passando ao longo do programa, do velho soul para o ''new soul''. Uma arrumadinha aqui, uma dancinha ali, um topete e pronto: criaram um novo Bruno Mars. Um novo-novo-soul.
A música, que só será/seria lançada em março, foi parar na rádio inglesa Capital FM hoje de manhã. Pela pinta Bruno Mars do rapaz, não soa estranho que a sua versão para ''Seven Nation Army'' seja, na verdade, menos ''inspirada'' na original do Jack White e mais ''inspirada'' (na verdade, é quase idêntica) a uma outra versão da música, a do cantor francês Ben L'Oncle Soul. Já postamos essa versão tempos atrás. Dizem que o Jack curtiu, contanto que os direito$$ continuem caindo em sua conta bancária.

    Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

    Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
